When running my photoshoots, I hope to provide all clients with a fun-filled countryside experience and my business currently operates in the following ways:

🌸 We use a green energy supplier, but all energy used is generated from solar panels. To be certain, all charging and electronic use is tracked using smart plugs 

🌸 All batteries are rechargeable and any office waste is recycled or repurposed

🌸 We have invested in an electric vehicle, intending to retire my petrol car entirely

🌸 To combat any unavoidable carbon emissions and mileage, I am partnered with TreeSisters, who plant trees in areas of deforestation and aim to avoid further destruction, protect critically endangered species and support local communities. I donate a non-negotiable amount monthly, equating to the planting of 800 trees per year

🌸 All contracts are sent electronically

🌸 All newlyweds are given a plantable card, embedded with wildflower seeds, as a thank you for booking and a donation is made to TreeSisters on their behalf following every marriage I photograph

🌸 I offer a range of sustainable products, enabling my clients to showcase and treasure their memories without harming the environment. All suppliers were changed to ensure that products are ethically sourced from UK companies who align with my values: 

🌱 Wedding albums and prints handcrafted in Yorkshire using only sustainably sourced / recycled materials 

🌱 All USBs have been retired and replaced with handcrafted wooden print boxes made in Cheshire

🌸 My website is running on green energy and I track the amount of carbon that is produced when visitors click on the site via websitecarbon.com

🌸 By vocalising my core values, I have attracted both clients and collaborators with aligned passions: 

🌱 I am a recommended supplier at multiple eco-venues and have identified three more that I intend to build relationships with this year 

🌱 I actively promote and work alongside other sustainable suppliers, including eco celebrants, stationers, jewellers, vegan bakers and local grow-your-own florists

🌸 In 2022, I was accepted as a member of the Sustainable Wedding Alliance. In order to be accepted, my business had to demonstrate eco-conscious practices. As well as providing businesses with resources to help reduce environmental impact, implement long-term strategies and promote green credentials to customers, all members have the opportunity to become accredited. My business has been reviewed in depth and I have been provided with an action plan (consisting mostly of documenting my current processes). I am determined to achieve my accreditation during this business year and look forward toupdating you on my progress.

Going forward, I will continue to review my business processes, looking for new ways to take as little from Mother Nature as possible.
